Reminders

NOTICE TO DEFENDANT AND DEFENSE ATTORNEYS
If you are a defendant, or an attorney whose client has been summonsed to appear before the Court on criminal charges, it is requested that the defendant appear at the Warren B.  Rudman Federal Building, 55 Pleasant Street, Suite 211, Concord, NH 3 hours prior to their scheduled hearing in order to meet with a Pretrial Services Officer.

This will allow the U.S. Pretrial Services Officer time to conduct a thorough interview and prepare the Pretrial Services (Bail) Report in a timely manner.  Failure to appear before the hearing time often leads to unnecessary delays in the Initial Appearance process.

Defendants or attorneys who have questions regarding this procedure should call the U.S. Probation Office at 603-225-1515 and ask to speak to someone from the Pretrial Services Unit.

TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS - ANNUAL MOTORCYCLE WEEK
TRAVEL TO D/NH: All requests by felons to travel to the Laconia/"Lakes Region" of Central NH from the Monday preceding Father's Day in June, until Sunday (Father's Day) to attend "Motorcycle Week" at the NH International Speedway in Loudon, NH should be denied . While this event's image and reputation has steadily improved, a significant criminal element, along with so-called "outlaw" motorcycle clubs continue to attend. Law enforcement authorities average several hundred arrests annually for drug related offenses and assaults. Therefore, local and state law enforcement authorities have requested that all jurisdictions assist them in keeping as many convicted felons as possible out of this area during the races.
